Create Boundary#
Description#
In Zebulon pre-processing, operations are purely geometrical. All
commands related to the finite element model are introduced into the
calculations command file (the problem.inp
file). In order to
facilitate the application of boundary conditions, etc, boundaries must
be specified in the meshing operations. This is done using the tool
labeled Liset Faset Nset
. Boundaries are selected as in the domain
creation. They may be discontinuous and in any order. Both node sets and
line sets are created when edge selection is the operating mode, where
the liset sense is in the order of clicking.
Dialog Options#
The create boundary dialog has some options.
Name: The name of the set. This should be unique.
Linear - Quadratic: Selection of the edge interpolation degree. This should be adjusted automatically by the program. Confirm the compatibility of the nset in the Mesh view mode.
Single Point: Select that single points are to be in the node set (no liset available). The selection will allow only end points, or independent points, so there must be an edge boundary at the point of interest.
Example#
The following is an example with two domains and several boundary sets
created. The domain A0
is extruded using a batch extension
mesher (created using the GUI). The node sets corner
and top
are extruded as well.
The suffix used to denote extruded entities is -ext
.
