**remove_element

Description

This command removes elements from the mesh while retaining the nodes that make up those elements.

Syntax

**remove_element \(~\,\) *ids id1 id2 … idN \(~\,\) *elsets elset1 elset2 … elsetM

The user can specify elements to remove either by their IDs or by the elsets they belong to.

Example

**remove_element
 *ids 1 2 11 57
 *elsets yarn fiber
