**curvature#

Description#

This boundary condition imposes a displacement of the form

\[U_i = \epsilon_{ijk} K_{jl} X_l X_k + E_{ij} X_j\]

where \(\epsilon_{ijk}\) is the , \(\ten K\) is the curvature tensor, \(\ten E\) is the deformation tensor, and \(\vect X\) is the position vector.

Syntax#

**curvature \(~\,~\,\) nset  origin strain/curvature value1 [ … strain/curvature valueN ]  table

nset

is the node set on which the boundary condition is applied

origin

is a vector that defines the origin relative to which the positions of the nodes are calculated.

strain/curvature value1

The strain or curvature tensor components. In 2D, the valid components are: E11, E22, E12, K31, K32, SKEW. In 3D, these additional components are available: E33, E23, E31, K11, K22, K33, K12, K13, K21, K23, SKEW1, SKEW2.

table

A character name for the loading table which describes the strain/curvature value in time.
